Sunshower 04:14
Come come come come again Come come come again x2 You kissed that boy last night and you’re wondering how it’ll all turn out And you’ve come round to take refuge at my flat Walking down St Kilda pier, I hear your voice in my ear Saying we should do this more often, cause it really has been fun We’ll buy matching headbands and talk about all the boys we’d kiss if we were famous And we’ll buy jumpers cause we’re cold and maybe never wear them again Buy a coffee, buy a cookie and head down to the pier for a look You’ve been doing this every afternoon since you moved in Can we plan your birthday party, a BBQ on the grassy patch We’ll drink till it’s gone and then get silly under the sun I’ll open my present and to my surprise I’ll find a blow-up boat And we’ll grab an oar each and see if we can paddle to Queenscliff Sunshower Sunshower on us Rain rain don’t go away Please come again another day You didn’t kiss that boy you met, but there’s been flirting via text And there’s a whole month before you see him again Let’s sit down and write a song, get writers block and argue a lot While we try to write something of importance We’ll get stuck on the first line and end up writing about the same old shit And we’ll write lots and lots of words and argue about who’s best fit in Sunshower Sunshower on us Rain rain don’t go away Please come again another day Sunshower Sunshower on us Rain rain don’t go away Please come again another day Rain rain don’t go away Please come again another day Come come come come again Come come come again x2

Why you chose to leave so early, I’ll never know This place won’t be the same without you, all of us know The streets I walk, a little more alone Don’t leave me alone I will always come to miss you Memories of us laughing with you We will toast our drinks towards you I will always come to miss you Someone told me that he loves me, now I won’t be alone He has travelled far to hold me, far he has flown The streets we walk, a little less alone Cause he won’t leave me alone I will always come to miss you Memories of us laughing with you We will toast our drinks towards you I will always come to miss you He told me he’d marry her, boy how we’ve grown She does have his child inside her, seed they have sown Babies name, inspiration you Cause no-one is alone I will always come to miss you Memories of us laughing with you We will toast our drinks towards you I will always come to miss you

Walking down to the motor way, man, those fumes don’t smell so sweet But he’s there to watch them big green beauties travelling up and down the middle of the street The four fifty-eight needs a good lick of paint, five fifteen’s running three minutes early But he’s watching those tracks and he’s thinking bout her eyes and her hair so beautiful and curly Now he knows those tracks lead straight to her door Across the other side of town maybe fifty stops or more And he smiles while he thinks about that look on her face When he rings that bell out the front of her place Looking back, there’s no denying the fact it was love since he first laid eyes as he sat there Staring across from his desk in the classroom while he struggle on through grade five He remembers her framed in the doors two beautiful big old double you class And he couldn’t remember a prettier union as he rang its bell and shuffled on past Now he knows those tracks lead straight to her door Across the other side of town maybe fifty stops or more And he smiles while he thinks about that look on her face When he rings that bell out the front of her place He’s hanging around in the end of the line looking over their shoulder He’s biding his time now he knows those controls like the back of his hand And he’s missed on the road but he don’t give a damn Friday morning was raining and wet, but the afternoon was oh so fine With the keys that he borrowed from the man at the depot as he climbs aboard the seventy-nine Glides through the gates, gets a feel for the brakes on that sunset esplanade And the dusk was slashed as that red and blue flashing as he pulled up onto her front yard Now he knows those tracks lead straight to her door Across the other side of town maybe fifty stops or more And he smiles while he thinks about that look on her face When he rings that bell out the front of her place x2

Dink You 03:25
I’m talking for longer My heart is getting warmer Love is getting closer Time is growing shorter Life is growing harder, but everything in it is becoming clearer Everything is much busier But our laughs are getting louder We’re all getting older And the rain is disappearing The days are getting longer and our planets getting hotter So let’s jump on our bikes and cycle around the entire world With the wind in our hair we could take off anytime anywhere And I’ll dink you, if you get too tired If you hold me, when I’m feeling lonely We won’t be getting lonely My voice is sounding better And my body is still changing The band is getting bigger and bigger and bigger And my dreams are getting closer My dancing’s getting bolder and I’m becoming more curious So let’s jump on our bikes and cycle around the entire world With the wind in our hair we could take off anytime anywhere And I’ll dink you, if you get too tired If you hold me, when I’m feeling lonely We won’t be getting lonely x2

Grandma 03:54
Old lady come and sit with me, tell me about your family tree Hold onto your mind won’t you, cause your all we’ve got to see us through And I haven’t spoken to you about all the things I wanted to And you haven’t told me all the history of my ancestry You just can’t go until I know Tell me how you met again, you’d known each other through mutual friends And then on that fateful night, he held your gloves and turned them from white Then he took you out to dine to the Prince of Whales, the meals were fine He caught the tram back home with you and said he would call the next day for you Since that day you’ve never been alone Until some years ago, he got sick but it was slow You cared for him, you cared for free You wished and hoped and prayed But there was nothing we could do, the angels came and took him through You haven’t been the same since then, you lost your man and your best friend You wait alone until its time to go So Grandma lets go have some fun, tell me about when you were young How you fell in and out of love, so many times before you found your one And if you tell me the same story twice, I won’ t tell you I will be nice Of all the stories I have heard, yours are the best that I have learned Don’t leave a stone unturned before you go

Enters the room and she’s scared All these people new to meet Imagines it won’t be so bad Wishes she wasn’t so discreet People need people why do we make it so damn hard Watches groups of four or five Already friends they seem real tight Tries to think of conversation Something that she thinks they will like People need people why do we make it so damn hard Smiles sweetly til her face hurts Small talk topics running through her head Tries to muster up the courage Or she could always leave instead People need people why do we make it so damn hard x2 Sick and tired of being unnoticed Looses her thoughts within red flames Her confidence it burns so quickly Watches her courage burn away People need people why do we make it so damn hard x2

Rock 'n Roll 04:12
Wasting time is fine tonight, taking time to find what’s mine Pay no mind to blind replies from anyone Feel the sand run through your hand, take the time to love your band Think of all the times you owe to everyone I sang myself sane tonight, it may not be rock and roll But I like it, yes I like it Yes I do Close your eyes and think of white, send yourself into the night Shine your light as bright as one from anyone Show some sign but leave me blind, your friends won’t leave you behind Don’t think of this song as being for anyone I sang myself sane tonight, it may not be rock and roll But I like it, yes I like it x2 Wasting time is fine tonight

I’m an old man now and I can see where I’m headed It’s a strange thing to know but I know it all the same I’ve had a long life and no experience I’ve regretted The only regret would be, having to leave her behind I’ll never forget that warm feeling of making my sweetheart smile That one simple expression could make a man hold on for dear life There’s nothing I can say, and there’s nothing I can do I know where I’m headed now and it’s not with you My life has been full and my children are happy My children’s children are gorgeous and they make me smile And I worry about Lisa, but I know Gary’s there to pull her into line And hope that one day Sam will find a love, a love like mine I’ll never forget that warm feeling of making my sweetheart smile That one simple expression could make a man hold on for dear life There’s nothing I can say, and there’s nothing I can do I know where I’m headed now and it’s not with you Getting sleepy my sweetheart Cry a tear for me love Getting sleepy my sweetheart Cry a tear for my love X3 I’ll never forget that warm feeling of making my sweetheart smile That one simple expression could make a man hold on for dear life There’s nothing I can say, and there’s nothing I can do I know where I’m heading and it’s not with you

Come on lets write a song on my bed like we always do I need to write something about what I’ve just been through I’m a little bit more thick skinned, confident and big grinned I’ve been to Brissie and back, fell in love and all that and had all the fun I ever dreamed about I haven’t seen a mirror for so long that I don’t care I’ve been wearing my swimmers like they were underwear We’ve taken photos of every character we’ve met We’ve danced and laughed and surfed and bathed for every single twenty-one days Sometimes I think I’m living in the future Sometimes I think I’m missing out on the present Except for those three times in the last couple of months where I’ve had the best time of my life Woah yeah yeah yeah yeah x2 I’ve soaked up enough sun to last me the next twelve months I’ve rediscovered confidence and the love for my lady lumps We’ve had some fights, remember that big one on the second last night But somehow I never want to let of you three in my life Sometimes I think I’m living in the future Sometimes I think I’m missing out on the present Except for those three times in the last couple of months where I’ve had the best time of my life Woah yeah yeah yeah yeah x2 I’ve hit the spot I’ve got so much energy I could just take off I’ve proudly spent everything from last year that I saved up I can see myself ending up somewhere we’ve just been Sometimes I think I’m living in the future Sometimes I think I’m missing out on the present Except for those three times in the last couple of months where I’ve had the best time of my life Woah yeah yeah yeah yeah x4

She’s stuck in a hole, she can’t climb out of it Every time that she tries, well he’s stepping on her hands as she clings to the sides yeah He’s out of control, he can’t switch off his brain Now he knows what he’s got, he’s pretending its not yeah he doesn’ t seem to care a lot Peggy Sucide yeah x3 She says, show me your hands, you’ve been out all night again Well I don’t want to know where you’ve been, I can read it in your eyes and the ink on your skin yeah He lies and he says, that brand new pair of shoes gonna make him whole again And the spring that it puts in his step gonna help them get together gonna make them reconnect Peggy Sucide yeah x3 Come on baby can’t we find a little patch, where’s there’s no-one trying to get into our pockets or our pants And they’re both saying why can’t he just say that Peggy Suicide x3

Hot breeze ruffles through my new skirt, its the same hot breeze that make some people sneeze I think of you and where you might be, and all the people that you’ll probably meet Tomorrow I’ll start another week of nine to six, by Thursday I’ll see what I have earned I’ll add it to my savings and I’ll watch it grow, think of all the exotic places that I could go I’d spend it all on a ticket to where you are, and I don’t care if its a plane, ship or car When you’re near its hard for me to frown, but I know that no-one can tie you down I’d follow you anywhere, I’d follow you anywhere Ah Ah Ah I drank far too much last night at a party, just wishing any of them could have excited me Which corner of the world are you exploring today, please don’t go too far ahead or I won’t find The person that you’ve changed to the person you’ve become, please don’t change too much cause you’re so damn fun I’d spend it all on a ticket to where you are, and I don’t care if its a plane, ship or car When you’re near its hard for me to frown, but I know that no-one can tie you down I’d follow you anywhere, I’d follow you anywhere Lets go back now, back to where it all began I won’t let the moment pass no I won’t be scared Oh I will tell you Well it looks like you may have left for good, you didn’t say goodbye Imagine the next time I’ll see your smile and I know the feeling so well Suddenly I feel helpless and hopeless with rage, as I realise its been almost eight days Eight days since I woke up to that news, when I rolled over and I thought of you I’d spend it all on a ticket to where you are, and I don’t care if its a plane, ship or car When you’re near its hard for me to frown, but I know that no-one can tie you down I’d follow you anywhere, I’d follow you anywhere Ah Ah Ah

Got a car that don’t handle corrugation too well Got a tent that don’t deal with the winds from hell Only got two logs to burn the rest of our fire We got plenty of tinnies to swill our desire Bloodhounds await their Saturday clash, its too bad we couldn’t find that little wood stash We’re down on the foot, the camp fire we’ve put And there’s a bourbon or two in me, and there’s a bloody great moth on your knee The three of us trying to share the same bed, in the morning you’ll cook us sausos and eggs It don’t matter the car it looks like a bomb, cause when you drive it fast it cruises along We didn’t expect the FUG to blow smoke, looks like the radiators gonna make us broke We’re down on the foot, the camp fire we’ve put And there’s a bourbon or two in me, and there’s a bloody great moth on your knee Looks like the boys aren’t gonna make the game, I guess the team just won’t play the same We’re down on the Yorks, where we can’t be sure Speculate he might, the saulo’s are on your right We’re down on the foot, the camp fire we’ve put And there’s a bourbon or two in me, and there’s a bloody great moth on your knee A fucking great moth on your knee

I will miss you greatly over summer But when I return with a vengeance I am sure you will have met the following criteria You’ll be in a famous band And have the hottest hunk of a boyfriend Have a mighty fine tan and have found another tea variety we can drink together Because you better be ready for a big chat when I get back Thank you for being my almighty friend X3 Here’s a pot plant you can care for until I come back Cause I’m off overseas to care for the kids who don’t have what we have Can you write to me and tell me everything that’s been happening And I’ll bring back a pair of shoes like you asked me to And a whole lot of stories that I’ll make you sit through And I’ll convince you that you absolutely have to travel the world, and do what crazy ladies do Because I can tell that this travelling thing is going to be for you Thank you for being my almighty friend X3 And it’s not long till I leave here indefinitely I want to see the whole world before I turn twenty-three And I want to fall in love a few times before someone really takes me Promise that you’ll never ever stop singing And for god sake don’t let anyone stop you from believing Because that dream of yours sounds so exciting But for now I’m off to chase mine so I’ll see you in a little while Thank you for being my almighty friend x3

about

Our debut full length album, recorded at Sing Sing Studios & the 'Crimea Cubby'(a sound proof cubby house we made in Robin's bedroom out of a bunnings pagola & the contents of numerous linen cupboards, much to our parents delight).

This was our first experience working with a producer, and it couldn't have been a more positive and enjoyable experience than working with Jimi Maroudas. We recorded it over numerous weekends whilst we were all still at uni and made up a whiteboard listing every track with the overdubs that needed doing, which still remains in Robin's old bedroom today with its final markings.
